Meetings and Events

Come join us at our monthly meetings and special events.

2020-2021 Events

Dear Friends,

I hope this note finds you well.  The last time we saw each other was at the 35th Annual Symposium at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden back in March.   A lot has changed since then, the world came to a screeching halt, the season ended with canceled meetings and adjustments are being made as we go forward.   We hope some of you took time out from quarantine to visit the beautiful gardens of Helen and Graham Ray back in June and we look forward to seeing you at another garden outing soon.

You can say that the world has gone virtual, in a good way.  Which means, our meetings will move to virtual, we can still interact, and we can still educate you.  The Officers are dedicated to bringing you a season filled with inspiration without leaving the comfort of your home.  For now, all meetings through the remainder of the year will be virtual.  So, sit back, wear your PJ’s, make some popcorn, or drink some wine and enjoy the season as it unfolds.

A few ways the committee will bring meetings to you are setting up a Zoom subscription or creating a YouTube account or offer streaming of some kind.  In case you are not familiar, Zoom offers many opportunities, including a 40 minute Group Video Conferences for up to 100 participants.  Some Zoom conferences can be recorded and stored for up to 24 hours.  Having a YouTube account means you can watch the programs at your convenience and streaming may be another option to share information to you.  Because Zoom and YouTube offer monthly rates, the committee is asking for a small membership fee of $15.00 per household for the 2020-2021 season.  You also have the option of using our Pay Pal account through our website.

The Annual Conference will be addressed at the end of this year and we will re-evaluate the second half of the season as well.  Fingers crossed for an in-person conference and the Committee will put all measures in  keeping you safe should an in person symposium occur.  Stay tuned, we hope you enjoy what’s to come.

Thank you,

Your 2020-2021 Officers
